NEBRASKA TAXPAYERS FOR FREEDOM ISSUE PAPER:
S. 13, A BILL TO PREVENT MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD.

BACKGROUND
. With the inauguration of the Biden-Harris Regime comes an enormous lasting impression that massive vote fraud occurred in several states in the Nov. 2020 election. The fact that 75 million votes for President Trump became discounted by thousands of illegal votes leaves his voters unable and unwilling to reconcile the official election results. President Trump continues to insist that widespread fraud led to his defeat in the presidential election, specifically pointing to key swing states such as Pennsylvania, where election laws changed shortly before the election and allowed questionable votes. Though he lost most court battles over the fraud, many merely from lack of standing, polls show many voters agree with his position. Several conservative senators jointly are sponsoring legislation that may prevent a juggernaut towards ideological civil war and reconcile and assure Trump supporters that this massive vote fraud never will recur.

THE INTENT
. Conservative Sen. Tim Scott (S. C.) sponsored S. 13, to establish a bipartisan Election Integrity Commission charged with examining the integrity of the Nov. 2020 election and sending recommendations to state legislatures to improve the security, integrity, and management of federal elections. NE Sen. Deb Fischer is a resolution co-sponsor, together with over a dozen additional conservatives. Scott declared it absolutely critical that every citizen have faith in our electoral system and that every vote counts. He continued that the finesse of our republican experiment is the ability of citizens to freely question our political process, that we cannot move forward as a nation without scrutinizing the election that led millions to lose trust in our electoral system. He noted that, though each election involves some fraud, the circumstances in the 2020 election because of the pandemic led several states to make hurried and faulty changes to their election systems shortly before voting began, leading to confusion and questionable votes in several states. Scott believes that Congress must act to examine both intentional and unintentional voting mistakes made by several state legislatures and remedy faulty practices.

THE BILL
. The committee will include 18 members, 9 appointed by the Republican Senate leader, 9 appointed by the Speaker of the House. This committee will study state election rules adopted in response to the pandemic, practices regarding mail-in ballots, absentee ballots, vote by mail procedures, improper and fraudulent voter registration and votes, the scope of improper and fraudulent voter registration and votes, and suggestions to bolster public confidence in the integrity of future federal elections. It eventually will issue 2 reports. An initial report will include precinct-by-precinct data showing the number and incidence of improper and fraudulent state voter registrations and such votes cast in the election. A final report will include recommendations for best election practices that local and state governments should adopt for administering federal elections, preventing fraud and increasing the integrity and security of mail-in ballots, absentee ballots, and vote by mail processes. Also, to prevent improper and fraudulent votes cast and stop ineligible voters from becoming registered. Eventual reforms would further ensure the integrity of votes, so that citizens can regain confidence in our electoral system. Democrat strongholds where vote fraud appeared rampant will undergo intense scrutiny. Polling data from Dec. 2020 places citizen approval of Congress at only 15%. Therefore, perhaps the commission should include several of the millions of American voters who have lost trust in our election system.

TAKE ACTION NOW
. As President Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than a generation away from extinction, and now more than ever before it is our duty to regain the trust of the American voter.” Therefore, it is imperative that, using the text above, you and many others contact Sen. Ben Sasse to support this bill, even though he despises former Pres. Trump. If we fail to stop enormous vote fraud now, it will continue indefinitely, depriving legal voters of their constitutional rights and nullifying NE influence in federal elections.
