A PROJECT OF NEBRASKA TAXPAYERS FOR FREEDOM

EXPLANATION & OBJECTIVES:

NTF believes that the people of Nebraska have a right to know how their state officials manage important issues that impact the fiscal health of taxpayers, government intervention in private life and business, and associated matters. State Watch is a project that discovers, examines, and analyses state government issues regarding taxation, spending, government regulation, petition rights, and related subjects not directly linked to the state legislature. This activity affords Nebraskans a broad and deep analysis of how state administrators handle their fiscal responsibilities. It encourages Nebraskans to lobby and monitor both elected constitutional officers and elected or appointed bureaucrats on these issues.

GENERAL DIRECTIONS:

Use printed directions and materials in State Watch Project packet to lobby and monitor state officials.

Use NTF worksheets, issue papers, references, website, guest speakers, and other source materials for background information.
