OBJECT STATEMENT FOR NTF PETITION RIGHTS RESTORATION PETITION

 The object of this initiative petition is to restore constitutional language, regarding the rights of Nebraskans to petition, approximately to language contained in the State of Nebraska Constitution in 1987.  This initiative petition will reverse errors created when Nebraska voters approved language proposed by the Sens. Hall-Chambers Amendment that approximately doubled the number of signatures required to place a petition on the ballot.  This initiative petition will correct conflicting language that now exists between Sections 2 and 3 of Article III and language present in Article III, Section 4.
