NEBRASKA TAXPAYERS FOR FREEDOM ISSUE PAPER:
ILLEGAL ALIENS BOOST DEMOCRAT PARTY.
BACKGROUND. One of the foremost reasons that the Democrat Party seeks to open our borders and welcome thousands of illegal aliens is to register them to vote Democrat. Democrat community organizers and their legal teams quickly seek out illegals and attempt to obtain legal status for them under a myriad of refugee programs. Once legalizing them, Dems offer many inducements to vote Democrat, such as welfare and health care benefits and other “free stuff.” Most of these illegals have no knowledge of our language, culture, or representative governmental institutions and therefore fall easy prey to Democrat blandishments to support the Democrat Party. From 70% to 80% of Latin American immigrants vote Democrat. Floods of these illegals could assure the Dems control of Congress and the presidency. Democrats want to neuter the one agency responsible for enforcing border security, Immigration & Customs Enforcement. They want to make it easy for illegals who cross to remain in the country and gain the right to vote. The future plans Democrats have for a ruling majority depend on continuous law-breaking to muster enough non-Americans to vote.
DEMOCRAT METHODS. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, chain migration, and sanctuary city ordinances provide easy ways for the Dems to whisk illegals into citizenship and voting what they believe is in their interests on the political Left. Liberals hardly can wait for illegals to gain legal status. California Dems passed a law that allows automatic registering of illegal aliens through the DMV when obtaining or renewing a drivers license or ID card, a definite ruse to increase Dem voters in that state. Actually, California has for years offered drivers licenses to anyone claiming citizenship, state officials conducting no checks to verify status or valid documentation. Since 2015, California has granted illegal immigrants driver licenses. Californians who renew licenses by mail can use this document to register to vote. About 1 million illegals have taken advantage and obtained such a license. Fox News claims under this new policy, “anyone who already has a license and applies for renewal in person or by mail could potentially be added to the voter registration rolls by claiming they are legal.” “You’re setting the state up for a disaster,” said True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht. “They don’t seem to have a process in place to verify that people are who they say they are. It’s a free-for-all, a process that can be manipulated.” A retired special agent in charge of ICE in Los Angeles with 27 years experience said he and his agents “routinely caught people trying to cross the California border with fake voter registration cards.” Democrats seek to pass California-style legislation in other key states.
GOP FOOLS. For many years, the GOP has won over more white voters while losing non-whites. Nevertheless, Hispandering RINO Republicans fool themselves and lobby other Republicans by arguing that illegal aliens are social conservatives, because they oppose abortion and believe in strong nuclear families. If their amnesty proposal passes in vain hopes of gaining illegal alien voters, Republicans instead will become a permanent minority party and our historic constitutional government extinct.
SCARY NUMBERS. An important reason for the shift toward the Democratic Party is because of the large number of illegal immigrants from south of the border who have entered during the past decades. While legal immigrants have increased the influence of the Democratic Party and its implementation of anti-business policies in California, the impact of illegal aliens added to the state voter rolls has become devastating. Californians whose votes do not support the radical views of Democrats now eclipsed by illegal voters supporting the Democrats. If Congress offers amnesty to the estimated 11.1 million illegals in the U.S., eventually granted the right to vote, Dems will gain an electoral bonanza. In 2012, the Pew Research Center National Survey of Latinos found that among Latino immigrants who are not U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents, 31% identified as Democrats and only 4% as Republicans. Among all Hispanic immigrants eligible to vote as citizens, 54% identify as Dems vs. 11% as Republicans. In the 2012 election, Hispanic voters favored Obama over Romney by a 71%-27% margin (Pew Research Center, 7-22-13).
ELECTION RESULTS. The effects of ignoring this felonious voter fraud are stark. Virginia was once a solid GOP state. After the illegal alien invasion flooded the state after 2004, it became a Dem state. The margin of the Hillary victory over Donald Trump here was almost entirely her margin in Fairfax County, where illegals have sanctuary, protected by a solidly Democrat government. In 5 recent statewide elections, the Republican margin of defeat, Cuccinelli for Governor (vs. McAuliffe), Gillespie for Senate (vs. Warner), Allen for Senate (vs. Webb), and two Attorneys -General, was definitely the result of illegal voting. Al Franken sits in the Senate almost certainly because of Minnesota illegal vote fraud. The real fraud is in the registration process. Once on the voter rolls, illegals are essentially safe, because a photo ID is easy to buy. Besides the burdens posed by illegal immigrants from crime, detention, job losses, taxes, wages, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, violence, terrorism, and drug and human trafficking, illegal aliens slowly are eroding the power of American voters by changing the electoral vote. Hispanic voters historically vote Democratic, and as reported by USA Today in July, 2015, they will become decisive swing votes in future elections. The Hispanic population will double by 30% by 2042 because of relatively higher birth rates, illegal immigration, and GOP RINOS who support amnesty for illegal aliens This traditionally Democratic-leaning population likely will tip future elections in favor of Democrats. USA Today reported the Hispanic vote is now large enough to determine outcomes in key battleground states like Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Florida. Family and cultural ties effectively concentrate legal and illegal immigrants together with ethnically similar foreign-born populations. Though this is not the only factor in the redistribution of seats in the House of Representatives, it is a major contributor. With 70% of the foreign-born population living in 6 states, the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) expects this trend to continue for decades, resulting in alarming changes to the House. The distribution of seats in the House depends on apportionment, which bases on state total populations and includes illegal aliens. A national census taken every 10 years apportions seats in the House, but the Constitution offers no method for apportionment nor a method for compiling total population for apportionment. Under current federal law, the resident population includes illegal aliens. Illegal immigration plays a significant role in the redistribution of seats. In 1990, 12 seats redistributed, and in 2000, 16 seats redistributed. Five states actually gained seats because of illegal aliens. Nine redistributed seats went to California. Illegals also change the electoral map, because the Electoral College bases on the size of congressional delegations. The Federation for Immigration Reform (FAIR), which twice led unsuccessful campaigns to remove illegal immigrants from the process of apportionment, reported the 2004 election benefited John Kerry with a net gain of 2 Electoral College votes. Consider how those gerrymandered congressional districts rely on census population data that routinely includes illegal immigrants. One result is that many of the 32+ Hispanic-majority congressional districts include substantial numbers of illegal immigrants. In both the 2008 and 2010 elections, huge numbers of illegals voted. They gave Senate Democrats the necessary 60th vote to pass Obama Care and other Obama priorities in the 111th Congress (2014 study by Electoral Studies Journal).
THE TRUMP FACTOR. President Donald Trump identified California as one of the “bigger states” that merit a federal probe into election fraud, adding, “That’s where I think we’re gonna look.” He tweeted out a reference to a founder of a voter-fraud reporting app: “Look forward to seeing final results of Vote Stand, where Gregg Phillips and crew say at least 3,000,000 votes were illegal. We must do better!” Trump correctly complained that thousands of illegal aliens voted in the 2016 election, despite the liberal media responding with massive denial. Democratic Secretaries of State and Democrat-controlled election boards are scurrying to seclude their files from Trump Administration investigation. Trump suffered ridicule for his claims that 3 million or more illegal votes cast in the last election and that Hillary Clinton did not win the popular vote. Winning the Electoral College in a landslide victory, Trump also won the popular vote, if one subtracts the thousands who voted illegally. Several states are so sloppy in controlling the voter registration process, and where political movements to legalize illegal alien voting exist, like California and New York, that thousands of illegals voted with help from their leftwing sponsors. Conservative critics meet with the usual leftist rhetoric that conservatives are racist and xenophobic crazies.
DEMOCRAT CONNIVING. Between 2008 and 2016, Democrats became more and more confident that the U.S. growing Latino population gave the party an electoral edge. 53% of Dems believe that illegals who pay taxes should have the vote. To win the presidency, Democrats convinced themselves they need not reassure white people skeptical of immigration, if they mobilized their Hispanic base. “The fastest-growing sector of the American electorate stampeded toward the Democrats this November,” Salon declared after Obama’s 2008 win. “If that pattern continues, the GOP is doomed to 40 years of wandering in a desert.” As the Democrats grew more reliant on Hispanic votes, they began to champion pro-immigrant activism. While Obama was running for re-election, immigrant rights radicals launched protests against his deportation practices. These protests culminated in a sit-in at an Obama campaign office in Denver. Ten days later, his administration announced that it would defer the deportation of illegal aliens who had arrived in the U.S. before the age of 16 and met various other criteria. Obama, The New York Times noted, “was facing growing pressure from Latino leaders and Democrats who warned that because of his harsh immigration enforcement, his support was lagging among Latinos who would be crucial voters in his re-election race.” The Democrat Party continually denies recruiting illegal alien voters but promotes unchecked immigration, lax law enforcement, and sanctuary cities. This party takes advantage of the lack of voter ID laws in many usually Democrat states, George Soros- backed exploitation of voter ID law absence, and frequent Marxist community-organizing. The Democrat Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Elections refuses to release information on illegal alien registrations. Protecting those who have benefited from Obama DACA policy is so important that Democrats “refuse to offer any votes for Republican spending bills that do not offer a fix for Dreamers and instead appropriate funds to deport them.” Democrats began changing immigration laws, so that they could alter the electorate by importing new voters. Worker skill levels dropped after the enactment of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) of 1965, which began the flood of immigrants from countries hostile to the traditional American values of limited government, individualism, and a healthy respect for markets and civil society. Dems invented chain migration, a magic carpet that brings poor and low- and no-skilled workers to the U.S. The resulting flood of immigrants from authoritarian Third World countries over the past half century helped Democrats enlarge their political base. It takes generations for immigrant families to abandon collectivism and big government as solutions to problems and become Republicans. Continued high illegal immigration rates benefit Democrats and the crony capitalists who bankroll them, impoverish American workers, and virtually guarantee endless growth in the size and scope of government. Leftist Dem vote mobilizing groups openly urge illegals to vote during elections, especially where the registration process is very lax. In Las Vegas, conservatives witnessed the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) in their purple tee shirts and their local supporters canvassing the town. They watched as the union employees went to homes and neighborhoods where illegal aliens concentrated and watched them exit each home or apartment with a new handful of Democrat voter registrations. Power is the only thing that matters to them. They do not care about America; they care only about winning. The Center for American Progress Action Fund, a sister organization of the Center for American Progress, distributed a brief to allies calling Dreamers a “critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success.” Democrats seek to regain political control they lost from the last national elections. They welcome those who are in the country illegally, offer them all “free stuff,” and then glean their votes, which unfairly and illegally skew the polls, because they will vote for Democratic Party candidates. They would vote even though they are not informed enough to understand the manipulation and propaganda or who is the best candidate. They would vote for whom the Democrat Left tells them to vote.
TAKE ACTION NOW. Illegals voting in the U.S undermines the foundation of our republic and destroys the political process. Democrats see illegal aliens, including those with children, as a vast pool of potential new votes to replace those they lost in the heartland. We advocate strong voter ID and registration laws in NE and strict enforcement of those laws, also federal law to prohibit counting of illegals in the census.
