Agenda 21 seeks to impose unelected regional government on local government subdivisions.

Micromanages a community like Omaha.
Coerces human behavior, government knows best.
Groups supporting it are ideological, like Omaha By Design, or who stand to benefit: OP$.
Planning process included no conservative or taxpayer groups.

Fewer than 2% of metro employees commute by mass transit.
Few prefer bus rides over private vehicles.
Lotta $$ on more bus routes and stations in 7rl counties.
MAT depends mostly on local and federal subsidies, so will get more tax $$.
Transportation development districts.
Will not widen arterials but narrow them to hinder car traffic.
Streetscapes.
Maximum parking space caps at commercial & retail sites.
More bike lanes and trails at taxpayer and street expense and will block traffic and take property.
Require a specific number of bike parking slots in projects.
Providing access around sidewalk obstructions for bicyclists will incur huge costs like ADA.
Will see increased congestion and traffic enforcement costs.

Impact fees, sales taxes, parking taxes, higher wheel tax, special assessments in neighborhoods, and tolls.

TIFs used to confiscate private property for redevelopment in areas not blighted, use of eminent domain.
Will use development bonds.
Property owner property values will plummet.
Will change zoning laws.
Residential density will increase.
Prevent low-density development.
Land use controls.
Minimum population counts for each urban sector.
Government will tell people where they can live and how big of yards and homes they can have.
Will dictate the exterior and interior of homes.
Mixed housing.
Mixed use neighborhoods.
Developers would have to accommodate bike traffic and lay out streets & driveways to match dictates.
Micromanaging the private sector, infringing on business prerogatives, and higher home prices.
State law to allow neighbors legal standing to file civil suits against landlords if believing that alleged deteriorated property adversely affects their own. Website for such citizens to report.

City already has signed on, but not county.
MOPOA should fight the city implementing these regulations and stop Douglas County from signing on to it.
Will eliminate the right to use our private properties as we wish.
